The VIAE information and reception centre for tourists and pilgrims is located by the entrance of Palazzo Squarcialupi (the Museum Complex of Santa Maria della Scala, in front of the Duomo).

Information on VIAE can be obtained here along with the Charta Peregrini Senensis, the only official document attesting that one has walked one or more of the paths in the footsteps of Saint Catherine, the Virgin and the other Saints.

It will also be possible to obtain the Via Francigena pilgrim credential and the official stamp.

A shop is located by the welcome centre where articles dedicated to the pilgrims and tourists are available, especially the exclusive brands AMEN and SIENA IN CAMMINO.
